ABOUT BRECOURT SOLUTIONS
11 men solved a problem they couldn't out-muscle.
We build tools on the same idea.
iDFR™ exists because the minutes between “something’s wrong” and “someone’s looking at it” are where the damage happens. We didn’t wait for the technology to be fashionable — we built it because that gap keeps costing people who couldn’t afford it.
OUR STORY
The name means something.
0630 — 6 JUNE 1944 :: BRÉCOURT MANOR, NORMANDY
EASY COMPANY, 506TH PIR
Hours after landing, Lieutenant Richard Winters was handed a problem with no good textbook answer: four German 105mm howitzers were raking Utah Beach, dug into a hedgerow position defended by somewhere between fifty and sixty men. Winters had twelve.
He didn’t wait for reinforcements that weren’t coming. He split his squad, used the hedgerows for cover, and hit the trench line from an angle the defenders hadn’t built for. By the time it was over, all four guns were destroyed and the position was gone — an assault so efficient it’s still taught at West Point as a model for how a small, well-led force beats a dug-in, numerically superior one.
That’s not a mascot story for us. It’s the operating principle. When the team was naming the company, they weren’t looking for something that sounded strong — they were looking for the clearest example they knew of a force problem solved by better tactics instead of more bodies. Brécourt was it.
We bring together veterans, enterprise software executives, and MIT and Stanford-trained engineers committed to building a more peaceful and free world.
"We know we can't solve violence with more violence and expect different results."
Brecourt Solutions’ mission statement
WHY IDFR™
Why now, why an indoor drone, why us.
An indoor drone platform belongs in every facility that can’t afford blind spots.
01 — Why now
The window between detection and action is the problem.
Threats and operational gaps move faster than traditional response. Every minute without eyes on scene costs money, reputation, and safety.
02 — Why indoor drone
Fixed cameras have blind spots. Guards can't be everywhere.
An indoor drone delivers persistent, mobile eyes that go where people and static sensors can't; on demand, in GPS-denied spaces, with live intelligence.
03 — Why Brecourt
Built by operators who lived the gap.
USA-made, NDAA-compliant, designed specifically for indoor Protection and Inspection. One platform. Two missions. Real-time awareness when seconds matter.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Mission and values.
MISSION
Pioneer non-violent solutions to violent threats
We build tools that multiply what a security team can do, so fewer people are put in harm’s way and those who are, have better information when it matters.
VISION
A world where no one goes in blind
HOW WE OPERATE
Operator-led. Field-tested. Built to last.
Our team pairs Navy SEAL operational experience with enterprise software depth and MIT and Stanford-trained engineering. Our expertise comes from deploying hardware in real situations, under real conditions.
WHO WE SERVE
Anyone responsible for what happens inside a building
LEADERSHIP
The team behind iDFR™
Jeff Ross, former U.S. Navy SEAL, is a recognized leader in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology and security solutions and drives the development of advanced UAV applications for security, defense, and critical infrastructure protection.
Ryan Jarvis designs, builds, and fields mission-critical unmanned aircraft for defense, security, and law-enforcement operations. A former Naval Aviator and U.S. Naval Special Warfare UAS Officer in Charge, he spent 20 years in the Navy advancing tactical drone capabilities and training U.S. government and allied teams to deploy UAS in complex, high-risk environments.
Nate Jesgarz is a U.S. Navy veteran and founding member of Brecourt Solutions. Since the company’s inception, he has helped shape its mission and guided both the vision for innovative security technologies and the operations that bring them to life.
John Babirak builds finance organizations that scale. At Morningstar he ran planning and reporting through growth from $100 million to $800+ million in revenue, designing the automation and systems that carried it, and he has done the same work for large enterprises operating in challenging markets. At Brecourt he sets financial strategy, manages the cap table, and reports to investors and the board.
Stefan Amundarain is an experienced UAS operator with a strong background in commercial drone applications. He earned his degree in Aeronautical Management Technology with a concentration in Unmanned Aircraft Systems from Arizona State University, where he developed a foundation in both the technical and operational aspects of UAS.
Trey Hornberger brings 14 years of U.S. Navy experience in high-risk operations, instruction, and personnel development. As a Naval Aviation Rescue Swimmer and Door Gunner aboard the MH-60S Seahawk, he operated in demanding environments where performance under pressure was non-negotiable.
Trey spent four years as an instructor for Naval Special Warfare candidates, training thousands of future Navy SEALs, SCCC, EOD, and Divers.
Beyond leadership, the team includes veterans, enterprise software executives, and specialists in UAS, AI, mechanical engineering, and public safety, with decades of combined experience across elite military units, law enforcement, and technology leadership.
